BIO:

Bryan Trainor (b. 1998, Denver, CO), is an Austin, Texas-based contemporary oil painter and art curator.

In addition to his studio practice, Trainor is a partner at the Branch Art Collective. Leveraging a background that spans both fine art and corporate finance, he works alongside architects and developers to manage large-scale sculpture installations and contemporary 2D artwork projects.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

  my artwork is a record and effort to honestly portray the contemporary human experience. it seeks to absolve the illusions that people have that they are rigid, isolated structures, and offer a view into the overlooked; quiet entanglement between ourselves and our common environments we often mistake as separate.

My work is rooted in process and decay so it has naturally wandered over time, i understand the critiques of me not sticking to one subject/style yadayada. always looking to be in conversation with art history and larger contemporary events.

in addition to being honest with viewers i have to be honest with myself. i stream my entire process live on Twitch as often as i can. i want to be an example of how art is actually made in an era of fast clips and carnivorous consumption. through this digital media platform i hope to build a community of likeminded invidious who are also curious and want to make solid art.
